Carla Lord began her real estate career in 1995, joining a family-owned business in Orlando where she focused on selling historic homes and managing various properties. This early experience gave her valuable insight into the unique aspects of historic residences and the complexities of property management. Over time, Carla expanded her expertise by managing planned unit developments (PUDs) and commercial buildings, which enhanced her understanding of large-scale real estate operations.

In 2012, Carla earned her broker’s license and joined a respected brokerage in Ocala, shifting her focus to farms and acreage. This move allowed her to gain specialized knowledge in rural and agricultural properties. Leveraging her broad experience, Carla co-founded a successful real estate company, showcasing her entrepreneurial and leadership skills. She later served as a broker for an established firm and eventually acquired Ocala Homes and Farms Realty, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the region’s real estate market.

Beyond her business achievements, Carla has played an active role in the local real estate community. She has served on the board of the Ocala Marion County Association of Realtors, chaired committees on professional standards, farm marketing, and the Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC), and is a past president of the Ocala Multiple Listing Service. Currently, she serves as president of the Ocala Marion Association of Realtors, where she continues to promote professional excellence and industry advancement.
